The Model 2470-HD Time Delay can create program delays to 8 hours. Time-zone differences can easily be compensated for at transmission or reception; and short delays of only a few seconds allow profanity screening in live broadcasts. Delay time is quickly set with single frame precision through a Graphic User Interface.
Very high image quality is achieved with zero motion artifacts, with JPEG-2000 encoding using 10-bits at 100 Mb/sec. HD-SDI inputs and outputs are provided, as well as HDMI monitoring outputs. High definition formats are 720p and 1080i at 59.94 and 50 Hz.

Sixteen embedded audio channels are standard with the time delay. Alternatively, 8 channels of AES/EBU audio are available using the external DXP-2 module. Applications with just two channels can use the XLR connectors provided on the rear panel. 360 Systems’ Bit-for-Bit® data handling ensures correct playback of encoded content, such as Dolby® surround.
Because the 2470-HD transports high-value program material, it uses a four-drive, RAID-5 disk array for enhanced reliability. Drives are easily replaced from the front, without removing the time delay from a |

rack. Power consumption is low, and forced-air cooling extends component life and reliability. Hundreds of the standard definition version are in service around the world.
360 Systems’ 2470-HD Time Delay will maintain long-term single-frame accuracy when connected to a stable genlock reference. It is intended to operate without user intervention; stored settings are non volatile, and are recalled each time power is applied. |
